Conscious decisions

Yesterday I “worked” for the first time in months. I wanted to spend half an hour writing articles.

I did half an hour of work. I felt great. A real sense of accomplishment.

It ended up taking me longer than 30minutes. It took all morning, and some of the afternoon.

Little Banjo is teething and only Mummy cuddles seemed to provide relief; well Mummy cuddles combined with being outside on a cold windy day.

I feel so fortunate to be able to do what I love and spend time with my family. I don’t get to work as much as I would like but I know the baby phase only lasts for such a short time. Once the kids are in school I will have the rest of my life to work.

Today I’m feeling grateful to be in a position where I can choose how I spend my time. It took a lot of sacrifices, planning and commitment to get there. It wasn’t easy but I stayed motivated by keeping the end goal in mind.

Life is about making conscious decisions.
